Suddenly launcher is freezing

This is the same error as Suddenly launcher is freezing

#3

@GinjaNinja32 - stop cross linking peoples support threads, stating they have the same error.

If you don’t have a solution or if there isn’t a solution in the link you provide, don’t do it!

#4

I figured it’d be easier if everyone was looking in the same place for updates, rather than having 4-5 threads for the exact same issue. Is my larger post in the other thread okay, or would you prefer I didn’t cross-link duplicates at all?

hey everybody

after a call from a senior developer from work I have a result for my computer (W10, Java8_121, No graphic card in computer, no antivirus)

steps:

  • run as admin
  • settings tab
  • advanced java options
  • i tried every option for java path from those that were possible and in one of those gave these log:

It took almost 30 minutes to reach last try and download BUT after that it worked.

@GinjaNinja32
You should post in your own support thread, and don’t link people around.
Just because logs looks the same it might not be the same issue.

Though this time it’s probably because of Amazons issues, some Minecraft is hosted there.

@Finkoye: good that you solved it - but you shouldn’t start as admin, that might break permissions on files/folders

#7

The same I did it without the admin before and it didnt worked

#8

It wasn’t that you ran as admin that got it to work, you managed to hit a server at amazon that was responding.

Amazon has issues, big issues

#9

I’m not sure I’m understanding you right; I didn’t post an issue, because I saw that there were already 4 that exactly described the issue I was seeing, so I posted on the one that seemed the most useful already. Are you saying you’d have preferred me to post another issue just in case the 4 issues with exactly the same errors, including identical stack traces weren’t the same issue?

If I wasn’t 100% sure the four preexisting issues were the same issue I was seeing, I’d have posted a separate issue, but that’s not the case.
